🤥 Lying Face Meaning in Text & Slang

🤥 is officially Lying Face in the Smileys & Emotion set (Unicode 3.0). Dictionary meaning aside, most people meet it first in DMs, captions and status lines — where placement and pairing decide what it really says.

What does 🤥 mean in texting?

Texting with 🤥 is about vibe: one Lying Face keeps things breezy, two or three turn up the drama or joke. On Snapchat streaks and IG replies it often just means "I saw this" or "lol same". Because Apple, Google and Samsung draw 🤥 slightly differently, keep it to 1–2 per message so the tone stays clear.

Meaning from a guy vs from a girl

From a guy, Lying Face 🤥 often signals casual interest or banter — he won't type a paragraph, so the emoji does the flirting. From a girl, 🤥 usually tunes the emotional temperature: warm, ironic or deliberately vague. Rule of thumb: flirty + frequent + paired with 👀😍 = interested; single 🤥 on a logistics text = just friendly.
