What does 👉🏻 mean in texting?

In texting slang, 👉🏻 sets tone more than topic. Dropped mid-chat it reads as light and conversational — like a reaction GIF in one character. If in doubt, mirror how the other person uses it.

Meaning from a guy vs from a girl

From a guy, Backhand Index Pointing Right: Light Skin Tone 👉🏻 often signals casual interest or banter — he won't type a paragraph, so the emoji does the flirting. Rule of thumb: flirty + frequent + paired with 👀😍 = interested; single 👉🏻 on a logistics text = just friendly.
